ICYMI Webinar: Modernizing Alcohol Regulation – Nebraska’s Success Story

Recently, the Center hosted an insightful webinar on how alcohol regulatory agencies can modernize their software systems to achieve greater efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

In 2018, the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission (NLCC) took a major step forward by securing funding to replace its outdated 20-year-old software. The result? Significant operational improvements that benefited both regulators and licensees, as well as the public.

Since launching its new system in May 2024, Nebraska has achieved:

  • 20% reduction in staffing costs
  • 75% faster license application processing
  • 137% increase in completed premise inspections
  • 82% more Direct-to-Consumer reports and payments logged

If you missed the live session, don’t worry! You can rewatch the full webinar and access the materials below to learn from Nebraska’s success and explore how technological innovations can streamline regulatory operations and improve business practices for licensees and regulators alike.

Thank you to everyone who joined us live, and be sure to check out the recording!
